The main art taught at Gaddis Brothers' Martial Arts is Shorinji Ryu Karate-do. Karate is a great art to start training in if you are a beginner trying to pick a martial art. Primarily practiced standing up, Shorinji Ryu Karate is roughly 50% hand/arm/upper body movements and 50% leg/lower body movements. Karate students learn how to make dynamic stances and use their full body potential when kicking, punching and striking. At Gaddis Brothers' Martial Arts we pride ourselves on offering traditional Japanese martial arts and our Shorinji Ryu Karate program is no exception. We focus on posture and form and strive for personal perfection.

Kobudo is an ancient martial art weapon system. Historically the five weapons most used are the Bo (staff), Sai (short trident), Tonfa (handled baton) Nunchaku (think Bruce Lee or Donatello from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!) and the Tanbo (short stick). Additional weapons taught in our Butoku Kai Kobudo program are Techu, Jo (4' staff), Eiku (oar), Yari (spear).
